At the start of last century when the missionaries came to Africa, there were two main means of transport. Either they rode on mules or they were carried about by strong young men. This applied to long distance travel. Slowly, however, cars were introduced to the mission and with it the need to repair and maintain them. It was in this way our car workshop (or Ndanda Garage as it is commonly known) came to be. In the recent years the workshop has largely repaired mission related vehicles. These days, however, the workshop accepts work assignments from clients coming from all walks of life. It is one of the most loved training facilities in Ndanda as many young people are interested in auto mechanics and related business.
